Double-click Internet Options.

6]

Enter the area code you live in, then Close to continue.

Note: If your computer was previously configured for Dial-up Networking, your system will skip to step #7 below.

7]

Enter area code and number to dial, then Next to continue.

Visit our Dial-Up Number page and choose your desired dialup number. Enter the number in the space as shown above. Click Next to continue.

Notes: If dialing our U.S. 1-800 number, enter 800 as the area code, then 737-7530 as the telephone number. If dialing one of our non-800 style numbers (see list), use the calling format that works for the area you are in. For example, if no area code is required when dialing, you might only need XXX-XXXX as the number to dial. Each country/state have their own calling formats. For more information on calling patterns including access from Hotels, visit our Helpful Tips section in the upper right corner of this page.

8]

Enter User name and Password exactly as you had entered it during signup, then Next to continue.

Note: User name and Password are case sensitive so if you used any capitalization, it will be required here. Add "@bamnet" to the end of your user name. For example username@bamnet. Important: do not add ".com" to the end of @bamnet - this will not work!

9]

Enter BAMnet as the Connection Name, click Next to continue.

Entering BAMnet as the Connection Name will help you locate this connection when trying to connect.

10]

Select No for setting up a mail account, click Next to continue.

BAMnet Internet does not offer e-mail accounts (i.e. yourname@bamnet.com). We recommend use of free e-mail services such as Yahoo.com.

Note: BAMnet does support SMTP services for your POP3 type email addresses. See our Tips section for more information about SMTP servers and e-mail services.

11]

Click Finish to complete the process.

Test the connection by dialing up.

Where do I find the BAMnet icon? If it is not a shortcut on your desktop, double-click My Computer, double-click Control Panel, double-click Dial-up Networking, then double-click BAMnet.

12]

Click Connect to test your connection.

Once connected, always remember to disconnect when finished using BAMnet!

What do I do now? Upon a successful modem connection, open either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape and start browsing the Internet. When finished browsing, please remember to disconnect from BAMnet.
